The first in a new series entitled ‘Leorosa Editions’, internationally acclaimed German artist Rosemarie Trockel was invited to design a cardigan that is set to be sold as an edition of 30. Reinterpreting an important piece of personal memorabilia, Trockel chose a scarf, which once belonged to her father Josef as the inspiration for the cardigan. Using the plaid pattern, the cardigan is knitted with 100% Scottish wool to emulate the design. The two photographs, which accompany the unisex cardigan were taken by Rosemarie Trockel of the founders, Paolina Leccese and Julian Taffel as anonymous characters. As an homage to her father, his name ‘JOSEF’ is printed in a bold typeface on top of either photograph and has been printed as a series of posters. Her work is currently included in the 59th Venice Biennale “The Milk of Dreams”, curated by Cecilia Alemani. Each edition is numbered and packaged in a custom cardboard box. The edition includes one knit cardigan and two signed posters by the artist. The cardigan is available in two sizes: small/medium and medium/large.
