Our fifth collection, “Fantasia,” explores the idea of good and bad taste. As John Waters said, “To understand bad taste one must have very good taste.” Inspired by Josef Frank’s belief that new architecture can grow from the “bad taste of our period,” we embrace all aspects of culture—high and low, good and bad. For us, Fantasia is a dreamlike world where these opposites coexist.
The collection draws on strangely aesthetic everyday imagery—tabloid covers, celebrity estate auctions, self-help books, trivial TV shows, and Ikea furniture—creating a humorous, fever-dream fantasy. A primarily black palette with bright contrasts and the new polka-dot tie “Twister,” referencing the game that “ties you up in knots,” completes this vision.
The campaign features German painter Andreas Schulze, whose work blurs the line between reality and fantasy. A friend and inspiration who modeled in our first collection in 2019, Schulze embodies the spirit of Fantasia—turning the ordinary into something imaginative.
